Service Description

Meets the needs of patients, families, and staff by providing a variety of cultural/spiritual and supportive services. 

Spiritual and cultural caregivers:

  • Provide a compassionate listening presence in times of crisis
  • Respond to the spiritual and emotional needs of patients
  • Support families and patients in making difficult decisions
  • Meet the needs of traditional First Nation, Métis, and Inuit people
  • Assist patients in obtaining comfort and support from within their own faith traditions.

Eligibility

Patients, family, and staff of the Saskatoon Health Region.
