Service Description

Offers a variety of programs for patients age 65 and older.

Comprehensive geriatric assessment includes assessment and treatment of:

  • Complicated medical issues
  • Physical movement
  • Cognitive ability
  • Functional ability
  • The environment
  • Social supports
  • Mental health
  • Medication Issues.

Programs include:

  • GEM Day Program
  • Outpatient Clinics
  • Community Assessment
  • Inreach Consultation Services
  • 20 bed Re-Enablement Unit
  • Seniors Mental Health Partnership.

Application Process

To get an assessment, a physician must send a consultation request to the Geriatric Services program office at Saskatoon City Hospital.
