Service Description
Offers a variety of programs for patients age 65 and older.
Comprehensive geriatric assessment includes assessment and treatment of:
- Complicated medical issues
- Physical movement
- Cognitive ability
- Functional ability
- The environment
- Social supports
- Mental health
- Medication Issues.
Programs include:
- GEM Day Program
- Outpatient Clinics
- Community Assessment
- Inreach Consultation Services
- 20 bed Re-Enablement Unit
- Seniors Mental Health Partnership.
Application Process
To get an assessment, a physician must send a consultation request to the Geriatric Services program office at Saskatoon City Hospital.
