Service Description
Provides support to new mothers and families in the first days after birth.
- Enhances capacity of parents to support healthy growth and development.
- Directs families to appropriate care providers if necessary.
Provides information on a variety of topics, including:
- Birth control
- Breastfeeding
- Oral health
- Mom’s mental health/Postpartum adjustment
- Safety
- Second hand smoke exposure
- Sleep issues
- Shaken baby syndrome
- Child Health Clinics/Immunization sites.
Eligibility
New mothers (approximately first 6 weeks after birth) within the Saskatoon Health Region.
