Identification of nutrition issues, assessment of nutritional status of individuals, development of care plans and monitoring effectiveness of dietary changes
- Healthy eating and weight control
- Diabetes, heart disease, cancer and other special medical needs
- Normal nutrition throughout the life cycle (infants, preschool, school age, adult, seniors)
Nutrition presentations to groups
- Chronic disease management and prevention
- Grocery store tours
- Canadian Mental Health Association
- Label reading, portion distortion
- Kids in the Kitchen
Teaching other professionals
- Professional orientation and in-services (public health nurses, nutrition education workshops for teachers)
