Service Description
Provides comprehensive services that focus on improving access to preventative health care for women. Includes reproductive health care and Nurse Practitioners to manage and treat health concerns unique to women across the life span. Services offered include:
- Birth Control,
- IUD Insertions,
- PAP Tests,
- Breast Exams,
- Testing and treatment for Sexually Transmitted Infections,
- Bladder infection assessment and treatment,
- Bladder incontinence assessment, treatment, and care,
- Referrals to the Pelvic Floor Pathway for advanced care,
- Pessary options and fittings,
- Treatment and lifestyle options to manage menopausal symptoms,
- Assessment and management of menstrual issues,
- Mental health services and referrals,
- Midwifery care for low-risk pregnancies,
- Labour and birthing suite for midwifery clients,
- Referrals to Obstetricians,
- Pregnancy testing and ultrasound referrals,
- Prenatal and post-partum care,
- Assessment and treatment of infections in pregnancy,
- Clinics in some communities,
- Collaboration and referral with other health care professionals.
