Service Description

Justice Workers provide holistic case management services for referred youth and young adults. Program consists of intense mentorship while incarcerated to connect them to positive community supports and resources.

Justice Workers assist in areas such as: culture, kinship/family, education, employment, housing, addiction, mental health, recreation/leisure, and other areas that are necessary.

Justice Workers share case management responsibilities with the client’s Probation Officer/Community Youth Worker.

Justice Workers support youth and young adults in attending their appointments such as medical, probation reporting, securing affordable and safe housing, employment interviews, resume drop offs, or social assistance appointments, treatment, detox and addiction counselling appointments.   

Eligibility

Referral-based program for adults and youth ages 12 years - 24 years who are deemed high risk to re-offend. Clients must score level 4 or 5 on the Level of Service Inventory (LSI) or High on the Saskatchewan Primary Risk Assessment (SPRA). Referrals for this program are received by Saskatoon Probation Officers. Individuals referred must be currently incarcerated or on a court order. Program is voluntary and status blind.
