Service Description
An annual gathering in the Qu’Appelle Valley to reconnect, recognize, and honour the spirit and intent of Treaty 4. Educates the public on Treaties, Treaty Rights, and First Nations history and culture. Includes the following activities:
- A pipe ceremony and flag raising each day,
- A feast in honour of the ancestors and in recognition of Treaty Four Veterans,
- Three days of interactive activities for students about First Nations Treaties, History, Culture, and Heritage,
- Great Plains Culture and Language Gathering,
- File Hills Qu’Appelle Development First Nations Business Forum,
- Yorkton Tribal Council Dry Dance,
- Treaty Four Chiefs Assembly,
- Parade in Fort Qu’Appelle,
- Interactive Career Fair,
- Golf Championship,
- Treaty Four Traditional Powwow.
