Service Description
For all medical emergencies, call 9-1-1.
The Cypress Health Region has twelve ambulance services operating within its boundaries. Regionally operated services out of Maple Creek, Leader, Cabri, Consul, Richmound, Eastend and Shaunavon. Private or municipally operated out of Swift Current EMS, Gull Lake, Frontier, Val Marie, and Hutch (Ponteix) Ambulance.
A medical emergency means a sudden onset of a condition with acute symptoms requiring immediate medical care and includes conditions such as:
- heart attacks
- cardiovascular accidents (stroke)
- poisonings
- loss of consciousness or respiration
- convulsions
- other such acute medical conditions.
If you do not require the emergency department for assistance please visit a medical clinic.

Fees for ambulance services for Saskatchewan residents within the Cypress Health Region:
Basic pick up: $245.00
Kilometer charge: $2.30 per kilometer
Wait time: $80.00 per hour
