Service Description

A free and voluntary home visiting program that shares child development information and offers support with parents in their home or in another location in the community.

Supports families by:

  • building on family strengths
  • sharing information about parenting and child development
  • providing activities for parents and their child to promote healthy development and attachment
  • connecting parents to other services.

Eligibility

Prenatal, or a caregiver for a child younger than 36 months of age, and live in Yorkton.

Application Process

Referrals include screening in the hospitals and from other community organizations, and self referrals. Candidates for the program then receive an in-depth assessment. An admissions committee reviews the referrals.
