Service Description

Provides guidance, resources, and support services to individuals, with developmental disabilities, living on their own to assist them to reach their greatest level of independence in the communities of Wilkie, Biggar, Unity and surrounding areas. Supports provided depend on needs and level of financial support allocated to individuals. Supports provided can include:

  • Budget and money management
  • Household chores
  • Life skills such as health and safety
  • Relating socially.

Eligibility

Adults with developmental disabilities who are living in their own home and qualify as per Community Living Service Delivery's mandate.

Application Process

Contact Community Living Services Delivery of the Ministry of Social Services or contact the local office.

Documents Required

A standardized Application form will need to be filled out which includes a medical report to be signed by the individual`s physician.

Fees

Spaces in the homes are funded by the Ministry of Social Services and there are no fees to the individual.

Transportation: within the Wilkie location have two vehicles available for rent. The rental cost is $.80 per kilometer or a minimum of $25. * A $200 damage deposit is required in the event of an accident.
