Service Description
Ministry of Social Services works with community partners to ensure all people have a access to warm, safe shelter and supports during cold weather. Services are also available in communities across Saskatchewan that do not have official cold weather strategies.
Contact your local Income Assistance Service Centre for help Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. For after hours and weekend support contact:
Regina:
- Call 306-757-0127. Mobile Crisis Regina provides 24/7 daily updates on shelter space and availability on their website. During weekday business hours, people in need of assistance can also visit the Ministry of Social Services’ Regina Centre at 2045 Broad Street.
Saskatoon:
- Call 306-244-6280. The Salvation Army provides shelter information and support 24/7. Visit the website to find out more information about appropriate shelter supports. During weekday business hours, people in need of assistance can visit the Ministry of Social Services’ Saskatoon Service Centre at 160 – 2nd Avenue South.
Prince Albert:
- Call 306-764-1011. The Prince Albert Mobile Crisis Unit is available 24/7. Visit their website to find out more information about appropriate shelter supports.
In all other communities:
- Contact your local RCMP detachment.
If you see someone who is in crisis, or may be at risk of exposure, call 911.
