Service Description

  • Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and help to prevent disorders related to speech, language, communication, cognition, voice, swallowing, and fluency.
  • Helps patients develop, or recover, reliable communication and swallowing skills so patients can fulfill their educational, vocational, and social roles.

Eligibility

You may see a speech language pathologist if:
- You have an acquired or developmental speech or language disorder
- You are affected by a language disorder such as phonology, stuttering, apraxia, articulation disorder, dysarthria
- You have an attention, memory, problem solving disorder, or voice disorder
- You are in need of alternative communication devices
- A swallowing assessment is necessary.
