Service Description

A no-fee program for children (ages six to thirteen) dealing with trauma and their parents. Participants learn to understand and process the violence and trauma in their lives by listening, believing and validating their experiences in a safe environment. They learn skills to boost self-esteem, manage anger, problem solve effectively and express feelings appropriately. Childcare and transportation are available.

Eligibility

Children 6 - 13 years of age who have been exposed to interpersonal violence and their parents. Parents are required to attend an interview to determine eligibility.
