Service Description
Improves the health of mothers, infants, and families and supports the development of children. Goal is for pregnant First Nations women and families with infants and children, who live on reserve, to reach their fullest developmental and lifetime potential. Program elements include:
- Home visiting through Parent Mentors,
- Case management and identification of high risk situations through screening and assessment,
- Coordination of services for children with special needs.
Eligibility
Members of the File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council including Carry the Kettle Nakota Nation, Little Black Bear's Band of Cree and Assiniboine Nations, Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation, Peepeekisis Cree Nation, Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation, Star Blanket Cree Nation, Nekaneet, Okanese, Pasqua, Piapot, and Wood Mountain Lakota First Nations.
