Service Description
Establishes a community focused approach to provide preschool children with a positive sense of themselves, a desire for learning and opportunities to develop fully and successfully. Supports the development of the physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and emotional well-being of the children. Provides early childhood intervention support for First Nation children up to six years old in the following areas:
- Promotion and protection of First Nations language and culture,
- Nutrition,
- Education,
- Health promotion,
- Social support,
- Parental and family involvement.
Eligibility
Children up to six years old of the File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council including Carry the Kettle Nakota Nation, Little Black Bear's Band of Cree and Assiniboine Nations, Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation, Peepeekisis Cree Nation, Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation, Star Blanket Cree Nation, Nekaneet, Okanese, Pasqua, Piapot, and Wood Mountain Lakota First Nations.
