Service Description
***Proof of double vaccination is required to enter and participate in any programming.
Provides an opportunity for clients (newcomers) to discuss their feelings and develop better ways of coping with stress, relationship problems, anxiety, depression, adjusting to a new culture, etc.
Interpretation, child care and transportation services are available if needed.
- Counselling – one-on-one sessions
- Counselling for Adolescents and the Parents of Adolescents – works specifically with youth and issues related to youth
- Parenting Support – newcomer parents and their children can access family counselling
- Landing and Settling Group Therapy – help newcomers develop strategies for dealing with a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, family violence, and anger management.
Eligibility
Newcomer to Canada.
Application Process
Register in person during business hours.
Documents Required
Immigration documents including a Passport with visa, Permanent Resident Card, proof of Permanent Residency and passport, or proof of citizenship.
