Intensive Family Support

Provides intensive response to family crisis to ensure the personal safety of children while allowing them to remain within the family home. Intensive family support staff will be able to respond to emergent requests to enter homes and provide support services to families in crisis.

• Services are flexible and creative in order to meet the varied needs of high risk families
• Supports include teaching, monitoring, connection to counselling, conflict resolution, care services and reduction of isolation
• Mentors parents and other adult caregivers on healthy parenting and coping skills
• Includes Elder supports
• Transportation is provided to families and children as required
• Involvement with the family lasts a period of up to six weeks
• Provides Elder services to families, counselling, ceremonie, and talking circles.
