Service Description

Offers community leaders, business leaders with immigrants, recent graduates, and professionals looking for work in Saskatchewan:

  • Access to Employment: Youth – provides support to individuals aged 15 to 30 seeking employment, covering topics such as career exploration, personal development, job search techniques, resume and cover letter writing, networking, community service, and volunteering.
  • Access to Employment: Women of Visible Minorities – helps immigrant women of visible minorities overcome barriers to employment and acquire the skills necessary for professional success: Personal development, Career exploration, Additional training offer, Techniques and job search tools, Writing resumes and cover letters, Interview simulation.
  • Connector – connects community leaders and business leaders with immigrants, recent graduates, or professionals looking for work.
  • Economic Immigration – promotes job fairs and workshops on developing a business project, starting a business, bookkeeping, and tax and legal considerations for starting a business.
  • Francophone Employment – provide employment services to French-speaking job seekers: CVs and cover letters writing, Job Bank registration, connecting with employers looking for employees, career exploration assistance, assistance in acquiring networking methods and strategies for job search.

Eligibility

Access to employment: Youth - age between 15 and 30; Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; legally authorized to work in Canada; right to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations; not receiving employment insurance benefits, available and not enrolled in a study program. Access to Employment: Women of Visible Minorities - be an immigrant woman belonging to a visible minority; permanent resident or protected person within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; legally authorized to work in Canada; right to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations; available and not enrolled in a study program. Saskatchewan Connector Program - contact CECS for specific eligibility criteria for the Connector Program. Economic Immigration - contact CECS for specific eligibility criteria for the Economic Immigration programs. Francophone Employment - 16 years of age or older; permanent resident, temporary resident (including refugees awaiting confirmation), Canadian citizen or visitor living in Saskatchewan for less than 2 years.
