Service Description
Supports and assists in the maintenance of locally developed Special Education Programs within six of Saskatoon Tribal Council’s Member First Nation schools in the following ways:
- Guides Special Education Program teachers in the development of effective individualized educational programs,
- Coordinates specialized services, assessment, and consultation within schools, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, educational psychologists, and/or behavioural consultants as required for assessment, program planning, and designation,
- Facilitates the Special Eduction Program teachers/coordinators professional learning through regular Professional Learning Communities and working sessions,
- Communicates regarding program information and procedural updates for the Special Eduction Program National and Provincial guildelines.
Eligibility
Chief Mistawasis School (Mistawasis Nêhiyawak First Nation), Kihiw Waciston School (Muskeg Lake Cree Nation), Muskoday First Nation Community School (Muskoday First Nation), Almightyvoice Education Centre (One Arrow First Nation), Nibwakawigamig Kinistin Education Centre (Kinistin Saulteaux FIrst Nation), and Nawigizigweyas Education Centre (Yellowquill First Nation).
