Service Description
Supports Member First Nations and citizens with resources and tools to create, deliver, and connect on business opportunities throughout Saskatchewan and beyond.
Services include:
- Business Development Support
- Provides help accessing funding opportunities, which includes support in developing funding proposals.
- Provides advice in securing professional services such as lawyers, accountants, and project managers.
- Provides advice in identifying strategic industry partnership opportunities.
- Community Relationship Building
- Promotes the economic interests and priorities of File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council and Treaty 4 communities in the broader business community,
- Identifies and advances strategies to share information with communities about collective priorities and interests.
- Community Planning and Reporting
- Provides support to First Nation communities in developing community economic development plans or other economic plans such as land use plans.
- Provide support to First Nation communities in fulfilling their reporting obligations to AANDC under the Community Economic Development Program.
Eligibility
Members of the File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council including Carry the Kettle Nakota Nation, Little Black Bear's Band of Cree and Assiniboine Nations, Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation, Peepeekisis Cree Nation, Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation, Star Blanket Cree Nation, Nekaneet, Okanese, Pasqua, Piapot, and Wood Mountain Lakota First Nations.
