Service Description
Offers specialized small group and individual therapeutic play with emphasis on interpersonal communication and relationships. Provides ongoing observational assessment and help for problems in language development, interaction and behaviour, including coping with trauma, anger and frustration, impulse control and self-regulation. Includes a low staff-to-child ratio. Works closely with other early childhood programs and child care centres.
Eligibility
Families with young children experiencing communication and behaviour challenges.
Application Process
Contact SCEP Centre's Parent Services Coordinator to book an intake interview including the child and parents/caregivers.
Fees
Fee for service. However, staff make every effort to assist families in obtaining funding for fees. Fees may be available through the Ministry of Social Services or school boards. On occasion scholarship funds may be available or fees may be waived.
