Service Description
Offers a variety of programming for children and youth experiencing sight loss.
- Saskatchewan North Youth Leadership Program
- Increases participants confidence and knowledge around transitioning to post-secondary and work environments. Nurtures independence and helps youth find out what they are capable of, while having fun and learning to support themselves and others.
- The Family Zoom Room
- Children, ages 7 – 11, read stories, share talents and play family-friendly games. Parents and siblings are welcome.
- Young Adult Zoom Hangout
- Provides a space for youth, 18 – 30 years of age to visit.
- The Zoom Zoom Room
- Children, 3 – 6 years of age, can interact, socialize and play with others experiencing visual impairment or blindness.
- Tween Zoom Hangout
- Youth, 10 – 14 years of age can play games, chat and make new friends.
- Teen Zoom Hangout
- Youth, 15 – 21 years of age can play games, chat and make new friends.
- Virtual Music for Kids
- Weekly music session for children and youth across Canada. Groups are filled with songs, stories and more.
- The Boyz Corner
- Young men (ages 15 – 21) living with sight loss can come together for meaningful conversations. Topics discussed range from masculinity, dating, expressing oneself and observing today’s music and media.
- Post-Secondary Connect Online Group
- Monthly discussions for students interested in connecting with others, exchanging ideas and discussing the challenges of attending post-secondary school with sight loss.
