Offers peer support programs for people who experience sight loss.

  • Riverside Terrace Peer Support Group
    • For individuals at Riverside Terrace who are blind or partially sighted to connect with others who are experiencing similar circumstances and to participate in social gatherings.
  • Saskatoon Older Adult Peer Support Group
    • For older adults who are blind or partially sighted to connect with others in social gatherings. Guest speakers speak on different topics.  
  • Seeing Things: Charles Bonnet Syndrome Group 
    • For those who are experiencing symptoms/have had a diagnosis of CBS. Participants meet monthly for this conversational support group.
  • Parenting With Sight Loss Group
    • For blind/partially sighted parents. From infancy to adulthood – blind mothers and fathers can learn, explore, and share their triumphs, challenges, tips and stories among peers in a supportive environment.
  • Saskatchewan and Manitoba Indigenous Peer Support Group 
    • For blind or partially blind Indigenous individuals who are wanting to connect with others who are experiencing similar circumstances in a safe and comfortable setting.  Participants will have the opportunity to help choose various discussion topics as well as share ideas, suggestions, stories, worries,etc.  Guest speakers. 
  • Women’s Virtual Peer Support Group
    • For women struggling to overcome the emotional challenges of sight loss. 
  • Swift Current Seniors Peer Support Group
    • For seniors who are experiencing vision loss.  Topics are relevant and chosen by the group. Guest speakers are brought in to discuss things like nutrition, working with your pharmacist, personal safety, fraud and may others. 
  • Weyburn Peer Support Group
    • For those living with vision loss.Topics of discussion chosen by group.
  • Saskatoon Parent & Tot Support Group
    • Building blocks for success. For parents with children aged six and under with vision loss. Build relationships with other parents.
    • Children have the opportunity to play with other children with low vision loss.
  • Peer Support Groups in ReginaMoose Jaw, Prince Albert, Estevan, and Saskatoon
    • For those living with vision loss.
    • Provides information chosen by the group.
  • Various Coffee Groups
    • Informal chat group is a chance to socialize and meet new people.  
    • Visit website to see different options with times and dates.
  • Guide Dog Handlers Chat Group
    • For guide dog handlers from across Canada.  Group shares the joys and challenges of being guide dog handlers as well as tips to keep guide dogs happy and engaged. 
  • Western Canada Social Meet-Up Teleconference
    • Get to know each other, share some good news stories and discuss practical tips for staying healthy and connected. 
    • Held Thursday mornings, 10:00 – 11:00 am MST.  Call in information will be given upon registration.
  • Black Voices United
    • For persons with sight loss and staff who identify as Black.  
    • Meets on Zoom. 
  • Diabetes and Vision Loss Group
    • For people living with vision loss and diabetes.
    • Meets monthly on Zoom. 
  • Virtual Working Voices Support Group
    • For participants ages 21 – 60 who are working or trying to find employment and would like to connect with others experiencing the same thing. 
    • Meets monthly on Zoom.
  • The Meditation Connection
    • Open meditation group, offered quarterly on Zoom

People can attend in-person or join in by phone or online depending on the group. Check website for a listing of locations, dates and times.
