Service Description
Provides a safe, judgment free, compassionate and supportive five bed, 30 day, emergency group home setting for youth between the ages of 12 – 15 years who are at risk of, or are being sexually exploited, in conflict with the law, in family crisis, and who may be involved in other high risk behaviours such as substance use and addiction, or gang affiliation.
Also provides community placements for a variety of reasons. Provides an interagency case management approach to clearly identify resources and supports required to meet each individual’s needs, with a goal to teach and support healthier lifestyle choices as an alternative to a high risk lifestyle and harmful coping mechanisms. Strives to be culturally aware environment for youth and has a goal to ensure youth feel a sense of connection to community, culture, and identity.
Eligibility
Youth, between the ages of 12 - 15 years.
Application Process
Application and screening are done with the Ministry of Social Services placement team when the youth is in care and with communication with the home supervisor if the youth is needing community placement. Contact for more information.
