Service Description
Provides nutrition education and counselling in addition to coordinating prenatal nutrition education as part of the Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program. The Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program provides maternal nourishment, nutrition education/counselling, and breastfeeding promotion and support. Workshops are offered monthly to communities. A dietitian prepares a meal to share with the group and discusses nutrition, infant feeding, and breastfeeding.
Eligibility
Members of the File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council including Carry the Kettle Nakota Nation, Little Black Bear's Band of Cree and Assiniboine Nations, Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation, Peepeekisis Cree Nation, Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation, Star Blanket Cree Nation, Nekaneet, Okanese, Pasqua, Piapot, and Wood Mountain Lakota First Nations.
