Service Description
School-based: provides a full range of dental education and treatment for children in their communities, including:
- check-ups and x-rays
- placement of fillings and crowns (caps)
- nerve treatment
- removal of teeth when necessary
- protective sealants
- cleaning teeth, fluoride treatment, and prevention of dental decay
- classroom toothbrush program
- referrals to specialists when needed.
Community Oral Health: works to prevent tooth decay and to improve oral heath for children and their parents/caregivers by providing:
- dental screenings and fluoride varnish applications for children birth – 7 years old
- dental health education fro parents/caregivers, including prenatal presentations
- referral for treatment to dental offices or hospital dental treatment when necessary.

Children living in BRT6HC communities.
