Service Description
Provides free English language instruction for newcomers’ classes (LINC) for immigrants and refugees aged 18 years and older.
- Offered for people assessed at English levels 1-6 according to the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) levels.
- In-person, online, and blended* instruction opportunities.
- Every student receives a Language Companion binder to collect their classroom work, and assessments, and to keep track of their goals.
Language instruction will assist with speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills in English.

*Blended opportunities combine traditional in-person classroom instruction with online learning activities.
Eligibility
- Newcomers aged 18 years and older - CLB level 1-8: new students need to provide a current (less than 2 years old) Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) assessment or take a CLB test at the Suncrest College
