Service Description

Offers book loans and a variety of services and programs which may include:

  • Audiovisual collections
  • Children’s services
  • Book clubs for various age groups
  • Computer and other technology training classes
  • Health information presentations
  • Instructional or information classes
  • Literacy programs for all ages and abilities
  • Online digital library (e-books, e-audiobooks, movies, learning programs) available 24/7
  • Outreach
  • Public access computers
  • Public Internet access
  • Recreational programs
  • Services for print disabled patrons
  • Discovery Passes: can be borrowed with a library card and provide free admission to a number of partner locations including Regional Parks in Saskatchewan, Wanuskewin, Nutrien Wonderhub, Western Development Museum, Saskatchewan Science Centre and YMCA.
  • Park Passes: From June 1 – September 15, Saskatchewan library card holders can borrow a Regional Park Pass for up to 7 days. Passes give free access to nearly 100 regional parks throughout Saskatchewan. Each park is different and offers a variety of activities to choose from. Available amenities include camping, swimming, boating, fishing, sports grounds and golf courses. Park passes must be borrowed in person and are first come, first served. Contact your local library branch ahead of time to ensure passes are available.

  • Kajeet SmartSpots – Portable WiFi Offers ready-to-use WiFi hotspot device to keep individuals connected using multi-network coverage.

Eligibility

Any Saskatchewan resident may sign up for a library card. Southeast Regional Library cards are specific to residents of Southeast Saskatchewan, but the card can be used anywhere in the province.

Application Process

Visit local branch or register online to obtain a library card.

Documents Required

To obtain a library card, adults and young adults (ages 14+) must show two pieces of identification, one establishing their current address and a second piece that verifies identity.

Children (under 14 years of age) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who must show two pieces of identification, one establishing his or her current address and a second piece that verifies identity. These documents will be used to register the child. The parent or legal guardian will need to sign the child’s library card. The signer assumes responsibility for any library charges incurred by the child.

Take a Book, Trade a Book found at: Ceg' A Kin Nakoda Nation (Carry the Kettle), Cowessess First Nation, Kahkewistahaw First Nation, Muscowpetung First Nation, Ocean Man First Nation, Ochapowace First Nation, Pasqua First Nation, Pheasant Rump irst Nation, Piapot First Nation, Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation, White Bear First Nations, Zagimē Anishinabēk (Sakimay).
