Service Description

Provides a safe and welcoming space for the transgender community seeking for specialized health care and help to explore their gender identity. Transgender patients may be referred to other medical professionals to ensure complete patient care.

Additional referrals to services may include:

  • Psychiatric assessment for diagnosis of gender dysphoria and/or basic psychiatric care
  • Endocrinologist assessment, prescribing and monitoring related to hormone blockers or cross sex hormones
  • Nurse Administration or teaching of self-injections of medications such as testosterone
  • Counselling to assist with the determination of gender identity
  • Physiotherapy and nutrition consults to optimize health
  • Pharmaceutical dispensing of puberty blockers and hormones
  • Lab work, such as the determination of blood hormone levels

Physician and Nurse Practitioner Appointments (for patients who currently have a family physician or a nurse practitioner at the Saskatoon Community Clinic):
- Phone calls are accepted Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
- Scheduled appointments are available Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday limited pre-booked appointments
- Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (call Saturday to book)

Pharmacy (new patients welcome):
Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Counselling and Community Services:
Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Counselling patients can phone the Saskatoon Crisis Intervention at 306-933-6200 for urgent matters outside of regular hours.

Physiotherapy, Dietitian, and Occupational Therapy (for patients of Community Clinic doctors):
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, 1:00 - 5:00 pm
