Technical Services

Provides support services to the Touchwood Agency Tribal Council Member First Nations in the following areas:

• Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada Renovations and Housing Updates
  • Meeting building code standards.
  • Identifying maintenance deficiencies and estimating repair costs.
• Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada Fire Reports
  • Investigating and inspecting home and surroundings following a fire to determine cause.
  • Helping prevent any future loss of life/damage.
• Fire Safety Inspections
  • Determining if fire regulations are being followed in homes to reduce risk of fire.
  • Ensuring police are contacted if a death occurs or arson is suspected. 
• Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation New Construction
  • Examining plans and specifications to determine conformity to standards of construction and National Building Code Regulations.
  • Undertaking required inspections such as site inspections, pre-backfill inspections, vapour barrier inspections, final inspections, and others that are necessary.
• Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation Physical Condition Review
  • Identifying maintenance deficiencies and estimating repair costs.
• Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program
  • Providing detailed descriptions of deficiencies to be repaired.
  • Assisting in completing application forms.
  • Completing progress and final inspections.
