Speech and Language Services for Adults

Provides speech and language services for adults of all ages. Services offered include, but are not limited to:

• Aphasia (difficulty speaking or understanding words)
• Dysarthria (difficulty making sounds correctly and cearly)
• Acquired Apraxia of Speech (difficulty planning movements of the tongue and lips for speech)
• Fluency (stuttering)
• Voice and Resonance (vocal strain and misuse, hoarseness, quiet voice, nasality)
• Reading and writing (difficulty with these tasks following damage to the brain)
• Cognitive communication disorders (memory, attention)
• Aural rehabilitation (hearing loss)
• Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
• Social Language (using language for different purposes and following the”rules” of a language)
• Artticulation and phonology (dificulty saying specific speech sounds)
• Lee Silverman’s Voice Treatment (LSVT).
