Service Description

Provides services to newly landed immigrants and refugees arriving in Prince Albert. Offers short-term and long-term support based on individual needs.

Services include:

  • Orientation to Canadian culture, banking, and public transportation
  • Links to education and training opportunities
  • Employment services, including:
    ▪ Resume and cover letter assistance
    Employment skills development▪ Help completing job-related paperwork▪ Internet access for job searches
  • Assistance with accessing affordable housing
  • English language classes: ▪ Conversation Circles ▪ English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
  • Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) program: helps newcomer students and their families settle into school and community
  • Resettlement Services: available for Government Assisted Refugees (GARs).
  • Support for employers:
    Assistance with settlement-related issues for newcomer employees
    Advice and support during the settlement process
    Guidance to help employers create a welcoming and inclusive workplace for newcomers and immigrants.
