Pre-Retirement Planning Workshops

Offers pre-retirement workshops, in partnership with the Congress of Union Reirees of Canada (CURC) that cover all the major issues including:

• pensions & benefits
• goal setting
• legal issues
• housing
• changing relationships
• retirement activities
• volunteering
• labour movement involvement
• physical & mental health and wellness
• financial matters.

This is an introductory course for union members and their spouses/partners who:

• are coming up to retirement and asking questions about retirement
• are considering early retirement, or on the verge of layoffs, but who are not sure if they will be able to afford it
• have or will negotiate a pension plan, serve as a trustee on a board of pension trustees, or take a pre-retirement course through their employer
• have an interest in knowing more about retirement in general.
