Service Description
Provides a simple flat-rate monthly benefit to help individuals fleeing interpersonal violence cover their rent and utility costs.
- Monthly benefit depends on household size
- Single or Couple: $225
- Single or Couple with One Dependent: $275
- Single or Couple with Two or More Dependents: $325
Delivered by Saskatchewan Housing Corporation and co-founded by the Government of Canada and Government of Saskatchewan under the National Housing Strategy.
Eligibility
Individuals may be eligible for the SHB Seeking Safety Stream if they are fleeing interpersonal violence and have made arrangements to live independently in the private rental market or a housing co-operative.
