Respite Services (Outreach and Home)
Provided by: Regina Residential Resource Centre
Provides clients with temporary accommodations in order for their families or care providers to receive an interval of rest or relief. Families or care providers can access the home when they need a time of rest, a planned vacation or time to resolve personal or family crisis. The staff are trained care providers who assist individuals with a multitude of needs. The support provided includes assistance with: personal care, medication, meals, recreational activities, the use of equipment such as wheel chairs, oxygen tanks and gastro feeding tubes. The home is available to families for up to 60 days per year and stays in the home can range from three hours to three weeks depending on the availability of space. Additional services provided by the Respite Home include: an enhanced recreational program during the summer months, the Latch Key program for clients who require care/support after their vocational programs.
Individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Five days notice is required for booking, with the exception of crisis situations.
