Service Description
A program that focuses on engaging youth between the ages of 11 – 13. The goal is to build future community leaders by developing and enhancing their leadership skills, self-discipline and respect, and encouraging them to stay in school.
Officers in the Cultural and community Diversity Unit work with the students in a variety of ways:
- Drill exercises (marching, teamwork, discipline, etc.)
- Positive discussions around gratitude and leadership
- Sports and recreational activities
- Values and goal setting
- Presentations by various RPS Units (SWAT, k9, etc.)
- Tours of community partner facilities and educational opportunities (i.e. Regina Fire and Protection Services, EMS, Royal Saskatchewan Museum, etc.).
Eligibility
Youth 11 - 13 years of age. Must attend school and maintain good grades.
