Service Description

Offers a number of crime prevention initiatives and programs designed to empower the community to take an active role in crime prevention.

  • Security Camera Registry – Offers a voluntary program where community members (individuals and businesses) can register their security camera(s) with the Regina Police Service (SPS).
  • Neighbourhood Watch Link – Regina Police will be implementing a program where they share crime trends, statistics and crime prevention tips with community associations. They will, in turn, share on social platforms in an effort to keep their neighbourhoods safe. Currently the program is running in Ward 4.
  • Citizens on Patrol Program (COPP) – Offers a volunteer program that aims to help prevent crime in the community. Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (CPAAA) members organize themselves to patrol neighbourhoods in the communities providing a visible deterrent for crime.
  • Citizens Police Academy – Offers an eleven week program that gives participants an inside look at police work in Regina through a series of lectures, demonstrations and a ride-along with the Patrol Unit. Runs each fall and spring. Classes are three hours, one night a week.
  • Community Crime Map – Provides a map of Regina which indicates crime and suspicious activity.
