Service Description

Responds to the needs of victims of crime and traumatic events.

  • Provides emotional and practical support during the first few critical hours
  • Provides a listening ear, comfort and reassurance
  • Connects with individuals at home, hospital or by telephone
  • Helps prepare victims for court and will accompany if requested
  • Helps lessen the effects crime has on its victims.

Victim services also puts individuals in touch with services such as counselling, crisis lines, shelters, funeral homes, social services and more.
