Service Description
Assists grandmothers, who have grandchildren and/or great grandchildren in their care, to build their self-esteem and to explore and learn through group sharing of their diverse parenting skills, self-love and healing for themselves.
The Children’s Program is part of the Grandmother’s Program: it allows the grandchildren to develop and maintain healthy social and behaviour skills. Children are actively part of a group which enhances team building through games and activities. Cultural component teaches values and respect for themselves and others.
Eligibility
Indigenous grandmothers who have grandchildren and/or great grandchildren in their care.
