Service Description
Provides shelter placement that offers safe, supportive temporary housing along with structured, intensive, and coordinated services. Combines shelter housing with onsite multidisciplinary programs to promote stabilization and support clients in transitioning to independence.
Individualized supports may include:
- Transitional or permanent housing assistance
- Adult reintegration
- Trauma and crisis support
- Wellness, addictions, and mental health counselling
- Risk assessment
- Criminal justice and legal services
- Family and community reunification
- Employment, trades, and job readiness support
- Child protection services (for clients with children in care)
- Gang prevention initiatives
- Health care access
- Job training and/or education
- Income support
- Transition planning for departure
- Connections to culturally specific First Nations supports, including Elders and traditional knowledge holders, with attention to religious or other identified needs
Safety planning is tailored to each client’s needs, addressing triggers and ensuring strategies are in place for various situations.
