Service Description
Provides an alternative to paying out of pocket for certain fines. If the fine qualifies, the John Howard Society can arrange a volunteer work placement with one of their community partners. This program allows the fine to be worked off through volunteer labor, helping both those who are required to pay the fine, as well as the community.
Available in Regina, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw. Visit fineoptions.ca for more information and to register for the program.

Coverage Area
JHSS operates the Fine Options Program in Regina, Saskatoon, and Moose Jaw. Local service providers operate the Fine Option program in other communities across Saskatchewan. The website (fineoptions.ca) is specific to how the program operation in these three locations, and program caseworkers cannot facilitate volunteer work in any other location. If you are having trouble finding who to connect with in your area, feel free to reach out and they will do their best to connect you with your local fine option agency.
