Service Description
Information and resource centre for newcomers to Canada serving Moose Jaw and the surrounding region by providing:
- referrals to settlement
- language and employment services
- local and regional community information and referrals
- interpretation services
- computer, printer, scanner, and Internet use
- information in various languages
A Settlement Advisor is available on location to assist eligible newcomers toward successful settlement.
The Welcome Centre also serves employers of newcomers and community organizations and service providers who work with newcomers. Space is made available for newcomers to meet with service providers when needed.
Eligibility
Newcomers to Canada whether arriving directly or from another Canadian province. Services also available to those who have been in Canada for some time.
Application Process
No application necessary for basic services. Walk in, email, call, or visit our Facebook page. We are happy to serve you and to assess your eligibility for more in-depth services.
Documents Required
No documentation required for basic services. Immigration documentation and social insurance number may be required for more in-depth services.
