Service Description

MissingKids.ca is Canada’s missing children resource centre. Owned and operated by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, MissingKids.ca offers families support in finding their missing child and provides educational materials to help prevent children from going missing. Works closely with police and other stakeholders in the search for these missing children.

Includes:

  • Report a Missing Child – Fill out the intake form and a caseworker will be in contact. You can also call 1-866-543-8477 (MissingKids.ca) or 9-1-1.
  • Missing Children Database – An online database that contains a list of long-term missing children registered with MissingKids.ca.
  • Report a Tip or Sighting – Report any information about a missing child.
  • MissingKidsALERT – A public notification service that allows for rapid and targeted distribution of critical information when a child is missing. Canadians can sign up for the service to receive alerts about missing children in their area.
  • Resources – For families and communities of children who are missing, and families who are worried their child may go missing.
