Service Description
Provides authentication of notarized documents. Authentication confirms the notary public’s status, signature and seal. Documents needed outside of Canada may require a certificate of authentication. For more information visit the website.
NOTE: Authentication services will be provided by mail-in services only. Walk-ins no longer accepted. Call 306-787-5972 or email authserv@gov.sk.ca if you have questions.
Eligibility
Individuals that need a document to be authenticated as per embassy or foreign government requirements.
Application Process
1. Gather your documents and confirm the requirements.
2. Get your documents notarized by a Saskatchewan Notary Public with an original signature.
3. Provide your contact information - name, phone number, email.
4. Provide payment.
5. Mail only documents to be authenticated to:

Documents are returned by regular mail, or you may include a pre-paid, self-addressed return courier envelope (such as Xpresspost, available at Canada Post).
Fees
Fee for authentication - $50 per certificate package
Accept personal cheque, money order or credit card.
NOTE: Cheque an money order can be made payable to the "Minister of Finance".
Credit card information can be given over the phone (include daytime phone number). They will contact you for credit card information once they receive and authenticate your documents.
