Service Description

Provides technology and support for people with differing abilities, including:

  • Print Disabled Service – This includes talking books on CD, downloadable talking books, described videos and more.
  • Assistive Technology – Zoomtext Screen Magnification, Chromeboxes and Chromebooks, Optelec Video Maginfier, Kurzweil 1000 Scanner Reader, Large Print and Voice Internet Computer, Trackball Mouse, DAISY Players, and Mousercise

NOTE: Saskatoon Public Library locations are wheelchair accessible with the exception of the lower level of J.S. Wood Library, where the program rooms and washrooms are only accessible by a stairway.

Eligibility

For individuals who have a print disability due to blindness, visual disability, physical disability and/or a learning/reading disability in accordance with the definition provided for “perceptual disability” in the Canadian Copyright Act.

Application Process

To access print disability materials, complete the Print Disabled Service Application form.
