Service Description
Offers sessions focusing on lifestyles, healthy eating, physical activity, food preparation, and grocery tours, including:
- Build-a-Meal: participants learn and demonstrate basic cooking skills while making healthy food for their families
- Community Kitchens: participants meet monthly to plan and prepare three healthy meals to take home to their families; each participant contributes money for food expenses; childcare and transportation provided as needed
- Community Gardens: outreach staff plant sample plots and participants learn how to plant, weed, harvest, and prepare garden produce.
