Service Description
Six hour program designed to help parents after separation and divorce. Program is facilitated by social workers, mediators and/or educators, and offered in eleven centres. Topics include:
- Stages of separation and divorce
- Options for resolving disputes
- Children’s reaction to separation and divorce
- Children’s developmental stages
- How to make family changes easier on the children
- Pre and post separation relationships
- New relationships.
NOTE: In any family law proceeding in which decision making responsibility, parenting time or child support is an issue, the parents must take part in the Parenting after Separation and Divorce program. Some exceptions may apply. Visit the website for more information.
Eligibility
Parents who are separated or divorced.
Application Process
Pre-registration is required to ensure that separating partners do not attend the same sessions.
