Service Description

An intensive, client centered, trauma informed, home visiting program for families focusing on reducing risk and building on family strengths to:

  • Prevent the removal of children from families
  • Reunite children with their families
  • Keep children in family’s care and preserve the family unit

Support staff work with families in a variety of areas:

  • Parenting, child development and family health skills
  • Bonding, attachment and healthy parent-child relationships
  • Mental health, addiction and domestic violence community referrals and connections
  • Food and housing security
  • Prenatal and postnatal referral and connections for mothers
  • Schooling and daycare community connection for children
  • Access to formal parenting programs within CFS Regina
  • Individualized goals for each family unit

Eligibility

Requires a contract as well as a referral form if being referred through the Ministry of Social Services.
