Service Description
Provides support to women and girls involved in the justice system as they transition back into their community. Support services include:
- attend probation meetings
- search for transitional and long-term housing; viewing apartments
- transportation to food bank, appointments, prescriptions, to and around Saskatoon
- social assistance advocacy
- child and family reunification support
- obtain educational transcripts
- assist with furniture and household items
- assistance with getting ID (birth certificates, health cards, treaty cards)
- referrals to in-patient treatment beds
- court appearance reminders and transportation
- provides clothing and hygiene products
- accompaniment to emergency mental health services
- communication with family members
- provides brief, solution-focused interventions and planning
- financial literacy support & advice
- HIV support
- domestic violence interventions and safety planning
- facilitating payment of bail monies
- connections with Indigenous organizations and communities.
Eligibility
Provincially and federally sentenced women.
